Specialist Insurance
Insurance built around your AMG.
A Mercedes-AMG isn't a regular Mercedes. Hand-built engines from Affalterbach, performance brakes, optioned wheels, track-rated rubber and the kind of resale dynamics that mainstream insurers struggle to value correctly. We exist because we don't think a C 63 S E PERFORMANCE should be quoted by the same algorithm that prices a base C-Class — and because we know the difference between a GT 63 and a GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE matters at claim time.
AMG Insurance is a specialist brokerage in Australia, operating under the Supercar Insurance AFSL. We place Mercedes-AMG policies with a panel of Australian underwriters that genuinely understand performance vehicles — so your premium reflects real risk, your modifications are disclosed properly, and your agreed value sits on the schedule in writing. Whether you drive a daily-driven C 43, a weekend GT, a Black Series collector piece or a G 63 family wagon, every policy is written under the same standard. No call-centre script, no generic exclusions, no haggling at total-loss.

The Process
How it works.
Four steps from first call to bound cover — usually inside the same business day.
- 01
Discuss
Tell us what you drive, how you use it, and what you care about. Track days, modifications, garaging, named drivers — the specifics that shape the right policy.
- 02
Underwrite
We match your risk to the right underwriter on our Australian panel. Specialist appetite for performance vehicles means a better outcome than mainstream channels.
- 03
Quote
You receive a written quote — usually same business day. Agreed value on the schedule, modifications disclosed, track-day cover discussed openly.
- 04
Cover
We coordinate the changeover from your current insurer, pro-rata refunds where they apply, and you have one named specialist for the life of the policy.
In their own words.
"They didn't flinch when I said it had a stage 2 tune. Disclosed properly, on the schedule, premium under what I was renewing at."
"Curb-rashed a forged 20" on the way home from a track day. One call. Approved repairer, loan car, genuine parts. No second call."
Track & Modifications
Disclosed properly. Covered properly.
AMG owners drive. Phillip Island sprint days, Sydney Motorsport Park club rounds, Targa High Country tarmac stages, hill-climbs at Mount Cotton — these are the conditions a 4-litre V8 biturbo was engineered for. Most mainstream policies exclude track-day exposure outright, which means a kerb-rashed forged 21-inch alloy at a Sunday driver-training day can quietly void your cover. We don't trade in surprises like that. On eligible AMG Insurance policies, private track days and registered driver-training events are discussed openly at quote time and recorded on the schedule.
The same applies to modifications. Stage 1 / stage 2 ECU tunes, downpipes, full aftermarket exhaust systems, suspension upgrades, ceramic brake conversions, forged wheels, wraps, interior retrim, audio — declare it once, properly, and it's part of the policy. Disclosed modifications are protected at agreed value. Undisclosed modifications are the single most common reason mainstream insurers reject AMG claims. We make sure that conversation happens before the policy binds, not after the incident.
Protect your AMG properly.
Tell us what you drive. We come back with a written quote — usually same business day.

What does "agreed value" actually mean?+
You and the underwriter agree, in writing on the schedule, what the car is worth. If the AMG is written off, that's what's paid — no depreciation argument.
Can I disclose modifications?+
Yes — and you should. Stage 1 / 2 ECU, aftermarket exhaust, forged alloys, ceramic brakes, suspension. Bring us the spec; we disclose it to the underwriter so it's covered properly.
Does cover include track days?+
On eligible policies, yes. Most mainstream insurers exclude track-day exposure entirely. We discuss it openly — private track days and registered events.
Who is the underwriter?+
We're an AFSL-registered brokerage with a panel of Australian underwriters. The underwriter is named on every quote and schedule, matched to your vehicle and use case.
I'm mid-policy elsewhere. Can I still switch?+
Yes. Most insurers refund unused premium pro-rata. Send us your current schedule — we'll show you the numbers side by side, no obligation.
